Full Job Description

This role is an extremely exciting opportunity to support our London Heathrow office with their operational needs in their sea/air department.

We are looking for someone who has already worked in an sea/air import role for a freight forwarding who can come in and hit the ground running.

You will be responsible for processing sea shipments for our customers and completing bookings. Delivering outstanding service to our customers is everything to us so you will make sure you are tracking and communicating all updates to customers, making sure their shipments arrive on time and informing them of any delays.

The key responsibilities of this role will be:

  • Provide a first-class customer experience to our customers

  • Ocean imports from A - Z

  • Experience with all manners of customs entries within CDS

  • Maintain good relationships with our customers and suppliers

  • Proactively provide updates on shipments to customers


  • We are open Monday to Friday between 9am - 5:30pm. There is no standard weekend working as we believe quality of life is incredibly important. Due to the nature of our business the majority of the team work from the office. We have a really friendly, professional and collaborative and our people love being in the office as much as they can.

  • Experience of working in an import sea/ air freight operational role for a freight forwarding company essential

  • Good understanding of transport and worldwide logistics

  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • The ability to develop and build strong and personable relationships over the phone and in person with a broad range of individuals

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a strong team player

  • High IT literacy skills, Import Operations: 1 year (required)
