Full Job Description

The role requires travel to schools and community venues to provide administrative support at our vaccination sessions. You will therefore need to be a car driver with access to a car, willing to travel and be able to carry lightweight equipment, immunisation supplies and resources as required. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010. Mileage from base will be paid. This role also includes liaison with schools and families to arrange vaccination sessions in schools and to provide information to parents to enable them to give informed consent for vaccinations. Good communication and organisational skills are therefore essential.
You will work closely with the Immunisation Health Care Support Workers and other members of the vaccination team and will be designated administrative duties to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of vaccinations to children and young people., + Appointment to this post is subject to the trust receiving satisfactory references covering 3 years of employment or study. We are looking for a pro-active, motivated individual to join the School Aged Immunisation team as an Immunisation Administrative Assistant. You will work across two areas, Oxford City and South Oxfordshire and will be based at East Oxford Health Centre. Hours to be worked across 5 days.
The role offers a flexible working pattern, to meet service need, which will include weekend and evening working on occasions and attending other areas of the county as required.
We are looking for an adaptable, flexible person with excellent administration skills and experience of working with children and young people is also desirable., You will be well organised, a strong communicator with good IT skills. Previous experience of working in schools or other environments with children and young people is advantageous but not essential. This is a fast moving and very busy role so the ability to work well under pressure and to be a key team player is a must. We are looking for an adaptable, flexible person with excellent skills who will enjoy working in a challenging and busy environment.
What we need from you! Please provide evidence in your supporting statement of the following
+ Experience of working with Microsoft office and databases.
+ Experience of working in schools and or with children and young people.
+ Experience of being self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
+ Experience of being compassionate, caring and creative with excellent communication skills.
+ Experience of being adaptable, flexible and to have a "can do" attitude.
+ All new starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process, aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale
+ Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
