Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity within Network Rail High Speed for a HR Administrator.

You will provide proactive, professional HR administration support to the HR Business Partners within the team to enable the delivery of value add HR support.,

  • Provide HR Administration support to the supported HR Business Partner / team and the business, to facilitate the delivery of value add HR and the delivery of the people/HR plans.

  • Support HR Business Partner/ HR team in administration relating to: Talent Management, Workforce and Succession Planning, maintaining appropriate data within the associated process.

  • Provide administrative support to the Business Partners for Organisation Change programmes including note taking and coordination of consultation meetings and documentation production.

  • Maintain and track associated project measures within the agreed format.

  • Support the associated HR Business Partner/team with ad hoc administrative activity relating to operational and value added HR activity.

  • Coordination and note taking/recording of key actions for Area/Local council meetings as required.

    Strong customer service approach?

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail?

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills?

  • Strong time management, organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.?

  • Excellent IT skills, strong excel, word and PowerPoint knowledge.

  • Experience of event coordination?

  • Experience of providing professional HR administration support within a complex and fast moving environment?

  • Confidence in dealing with a variety of enquiries?


  • Although it isn’t essential, it would be helpful if you were CIPD qualified.

    Network Rail High Speed Ltd. (NRHS) is responsible for operating and maintaining the UK’s only international high-speed railway, High Speed (HS1).

    The 109km HS1 infrastructure consists of a diverse range of railway assets such as the track, signalling, overhead line, lineside buildings, depots, viaducts and long tunnels. NRHS is also responsible for operating and maintaining three international stations; St Pancras, Stratford and Ebbsfleet International.

    As a wholly owned subsidiary of Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, NRHS is privately financed under an agreement with our client ‘HS1 Ltd’, undertaking a diverse range of activities from railway infrastructure maintenance and operations - through to station facilities management and retail on behalf of our client.
