If you have the passion, drive and desire to build on your knowledge and experience within Health and safety and play a key role in the development of our HSE strategy for 2023, then this is the opportunity for you.
As a Health and safety manager you will be responsible for leading in the implementation of the strategy to deliver effective process safety for safe process operations through the development of safety reports, management of all aspects of safety reporting and demonstratable compliance in line with the Regulations at all top and lower tier sites.
The job holder shall support the Head of Health, Safety and Environment in the development and implementation of the Flogas Britain strategy to deliver effective HSE management systems for safe operations.

What you will be doing

Serve as the primary point of contact for regional HSE matters, forging strong
partnerships with internal stakeholders, operational leaders, regulatory agencies, and
external partners to facilitate collaboration and knowledge-sharing, ultimately
minimising operational losses, health concerns, and safety incidents.

  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of critical systems vital to the safe, responsible,


  • and efficient operation of our business, ensuring compliance with statutory, industry,
    and company standards.
  • Execute our company's H&S strategy at a local level, leveraging a variety of interventions


  • such as tailored in-house training and heightened awareness campaigns to mitigate risks
    and enhance safety practices.

  • Take leadership in facilitating and conducting occupational health and safety risk


  • assessments, offering operational guidance to line managers on risk reduction and the
    implementation of effective control measures in alignment with the hierarchy of
    controls.,
  • Timely development and submission of the safety reports and supporting documentation

  • Health & Safety Executive as required under the Health and Safety Regulations and responding to any follow up queries or questions by the Regulators.

  • Assisting in the implementation and monitoring of systems critical to the safe, responsible and efficient operation of the business in compliance with all statutory, industry and company standards.

  • Providing support and expertise to line management on incident investigation and reporting

  • Working in partnership with operational leads & managers to minimise operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents & injuries

  • Assisting in the facilitation of surveillance, inspection, and intervention visits from all Regulatory Authorities.

  • Acting as the company liaison with local authority emergency planning departments and assisting with the production and testing of Off-Site Emergency Plans. Representing Flogas interests in County Emergency planning forums, offsite emergency plan exercises, company and industry technical forums and meetings.
