Full Job Description

As a HR Advisor you will support the team across the full range of human resource activities at Taurus Healthcare and support GP Practices across sites in Herefordshire. You will help deliver a proactive and flexible HR service by providing relevant and appropriate HR support to all managers and employees, whilst driving best practice and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and employment legislation.,

  • Provide general HR support and advice covering all employee lifecycle to both employees and managers

  • Lead on employee relations matters to ensure that all casework is managed in a fair and transparent manner, including managing attendance, performance management, disciplinary, grievances, flexible working and managing change projects

  • Undertake and support relevant recruitment activity, including salary benchmarking, interviewing and support with writing job descriptions

  • To undertake corporate inductions as required

  • Undertake HR training workshops as required

  • Manage all queries on maternity leave and other family-friendly policies

  • Review and development of policies and procedures

  • Review and development of monthly and ad-hoc MI reporting, and work with the HR team to plan people interventions based on relevant data

  • Contribute to annual HR processes such as performance development and salary reviews

  • Supporting the HR team on project and development activities; seeking opportunities to refine and streamline practice

  • Maintaining appropriate levels of confidentiality at all times.

    Proficiency in the use and development of HR Information Systems is essential in this role and experience with People HR system is desirable.


  • This role provides a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a passion for patient-focused services to utilise their HR skills and knowledge across different HR work streams; you will also be working with a friendly and supportive HR team!

    Experience of working in a regulated environment (preferably NHS/Primary Care) and CIPD Level 5 is essential in this role.
