We are looking for an agile, connected and accountable partner to the leadership team supporting Global Procurement and Corporate Real Estate enabling growth and performance through outstanding delivery of our Global HR Strategy: Continuous Learning, Innovative Approach to Talent, Inclusion, Diversity & Equity, Speed, Focus & Simplicity & Fulfilling Employee Experiences.

About the Role

This role sits within the Diageo Supply Chain and Procurement HR function, our organisation and ways of working are designed to work in a fully integrated way, across categories and functions within Supply and across the end-to-end value chain of Diageo. Creating the maximum contribution to Diageo's Performance Ambition.

This role operates across the full Procurement function in Europe, LAC, NAM, Asia and Africa. It is critical that the incumbent can navigate the matrix organisation, lead through others, build great relationships and influence within all levels of the business.

Fuelled by the HR strategy your role is to:

  • Partner with the functional leadership teams to build and deliver ambitious and innovative talent plans which includes robust succession planning to future proof the business, resourcing for our biggest opportunities at pace, building a strong proactive pipeline of talent, and creating exciting, accelerated career path for people which accelerates their development.

  • Lead the Organisation Effectiveness agenda across the organisation - grounded in the functional strategy and by using data and analytics, creating possibilities that results in successful and innovative performance, delivers cost efficiencies, and injects the right reinvestments.

  • Drive inclusion, diversity and equity agenda across all HR levers (talent, reward, culture, learning, etc) that creates an inclusive culture where each employee feel valued for their uniqueness and are able to improve their impact through fulfilling employee experiences .

  • Instill a continuous learning culture throughout the organisation ensuring employees have access to stretching experiences and great learning content that fuels constant growth in their capabilities and our business performance.

  • Build impactful teams, coaching senior leaders and line managers to create an agile, stretching and focused performance culture to enables outstanding performance .

  • Enable the culture transformation within the functions including the continued embedding of the Dial Up Behaviours, supporting and challenging leaders to adopt agility and speed, and driving accountability for bold and confident decision making.

  • Partner with leadership teams, Global Centres of Excellences (COE's), Finance teams and Shared Services to ensure we enhance value for organisation , deliver against overheads Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and deliver our key Organizational Effectiveness metrics while delivering improved financial performance.

    Provides thought leadership from an HR functional perspective, creating new insights for the organisation which can move solutions out of the norm to create impact.

  • Excellent talent judgement from a strategic point of view - what are the interventions which will make the biggest difference.

  • Collaborates and influences across a variety of partners at all levels, resulting in strong and positive outcomes.

  • Adept at navigating a matrix organisation, lead through others, build solid relationships and influence within all levels of the business.

  • Deep understanding of organisational design principles and how to create principles for each function to drive growth/ functional progression.

  • Being able to excel when dealing with ambiguity, complexity and working within a fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment.

  • Ability to understand and drive insights from HR data, analysing to measure impacts, diagnose trends and link to business performance outcomes.

  • Holds a strategic outlook which enables the identification of interventions which make a scaled and sustained impact.

  • A highly developed curiosity to understand what drives the business and how the varying agendas work towards driving the organisation forward, enabling leaders to be able to make informed decisions through the lens of both the business objective and the people agenda to deliver the best outcome.

  • Deep personal accountability for great performance.

  • Experience working across multiple countries/geographies/cultures.
