Full Job Description

Job Title: HR Advisor - HC616162

Location: Strategic Headquarters, Eastleigh (Hybrid working)

Salary: Scale SO1 - Starting Salary: £33, # per annum pro rata

Hours: Part time -15hours per week

Contract: Temporary for 12 months

Closing Date: Wednesday 1st May 2024 at 23:59hours

Our People and Development Support team are looking for an experienced advisor to join their team. The purpose of your role will be to provide the delivery and support of high quality comprehensive and effective HR Service. You will develop a thorough understanding of different business areas to effectively deliver practical, timely and high quality solutions.

In this role, you will:-

-Develop a thorough understanding of the organisation and its terms & conditions to effectively deliver practical, timely and quality HR/people solutions and support.
-Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders (both internally & externally), managers, staff, HR colleagues and staff association representatives.
-Ensure HR information is delivered & communicated consistently
-To ensure expert guidance and support of high quality, comprehensive and effective generalist or specialist people services to customers and other HR colleagues within a framework of best practice, policy and employment law.
-Support workplace inclusion, fairness and equality and wellbeing of workers.

In particular as part of the People and Development team, you will:-

-Provide administrative support to the HR/people function
-Oversee key administrative processes such as pay reviews, long service, pay progression standards etc.

Essential Qualifications

Educated to QCF Level 3 OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.

Desirable:

CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent HR experience deemed to have brought the role holder to a comparable level.

Essential Experience

style="margin-bottom:3.0px"-
-At least 2 years' experience in a generalist HR or similar role, providing HR Advice to a range of managers on ER issues such as attendance, conflict management or policy.

-Ability to develop and maintain relationships with managers and staff at all levels and an ability to constructively challenge and resolve problems accordingly.

-Good communication skills (both written & oral)

-Understanding and working knowledge of relevant UK employment legislation.

-Desirable:

Experience of supporting HR projects
