Full Job Description

Our HR Service Centre is responsible for all HR transactions, and first line advisory services.
Our first line advice services include an Immigration Team to manage all our global mobility, Immigration and compliance queries.
This role sits within the Immigration Team to help provide HR advice on international assignments, smooth running of global mobility systems and processes, meaning you are contributing to a smooth customer focused experience at BBC.
We are now looking for a HR Advisor to assist the HR Specialist in providing advice on all global mobility issues associated with posting BBC employees on overseas temporary assignment in a different country, as well as providing relocation support for permanent international transfers.

Main Responsibilities

You will assist the Immigration Team on a wide variety of international assignment issues, including remuneration, assignment policy, work permit/visa, relocation, tax services and international medical insurance

As such, you will:

  • Prepare/draft international assignment HR and immigration letters

  • Assisting with the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) Allowance, Rent Allowance and BBC Guaranteed Exchange Rate (GER) calculations.

  • Assisting with BBC monthly expatriate tax compliance. Splitting the Finance payroll report and providing data to external tax advisers

  • Logging and submitting UK Tax Forms and UK National Insurance forms to HM Revenue & Customs

  • Updating Master Excel spreadsheet, SAP HR, Business Work Flow, AXA Admin web-portal, EY tax web-portal and other systems, The BBC is committed to redeploying employees seeking suitable alternative employment within the BBC for different reasons and they will be given priority consideration ahead of other applicants.

  • Basic computing and telephony skills

  • Basic level of HR process knowledge is essential / may demonstrate proficiency in an area of HR specialism e.g. reward, recruitment

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; ensures facts are correct, complete and consistent

  • Self-assured in the use of data and data problem solving skills

  • Understands how to handle, resolve and escalate enquiries; passes on information promptly

    Salary: £26,710 - £29,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

  • Freelancers are eligible to apply for an internal role if they are on a Worker Contract and they have worked continuously for 6 months.
