Full Job Description

We're hiring for a HR Advisor to join the UK HR team on a fixed term basis untill January 2025. Working within the wider HR team the HR Advisor is responsible for providing high quality and professional generalist HR advisory support to all managers and employees ensuring best practice and Company policies and processes are adhered to in a consistent way. This includes; performance management, managing employee relations issues, policy development, change management initiatives, and managing ad hoc projects. Acting as an escalation point for both the HR Coordinators, the role also manages projects as and when required, ensuring that the team are updated on key initiatives, communications, and driving process and policy improvements.

Role Responsibilities:

  • To provide advice/support to staff for all employee relations cases (including but not limited to); performance management, disciplinary, grievances, complex family friendly related, absence management, employee wellbeing, compliance, change management, and restructures.

  • Coaching and mentoring HR Coordinators to provide a flexible and positive approach enabling the HR team to deliver an excellent service.

  • Develop policies and procedures as appropriate ensuring that current employment law and best practices are adhered to.

  • To coach and support the HR Coordinators in their development ensuring HR policies and procedures are correctly implemented and administered. Works closely with and contributes towards team goals and projects.

  • Work closely with the UK HR Managers and managers in the business to determine development needs, suggesting solutions, facilitating workshops and deliver training sessions

  • Support and drive a variety of projects, both local and global such as key annual processes e.g. turnover analysis, salary reviews, bonus scheme and appraisals, in conjunction with the HR manager, global HR teams, and specialist HR teams (Reward, L&D, Recruitment, Payroll) where required.

  • Lead on discrete projects as and when required within their own designated business area and other areas of the business as appropriate.

  • Ensure comprehensive HR records are maintained in accordance with our Company policy and legal requirements.

  • Oversee and ensure accurate payroll information ensuring approval processes are followed in a consistent and timely manner.

  • Keep up to date with developments in employment related legislation and HR practices, contributing to own and team's learning through knowledge sharing, effective communication and sharing of information.

  • Provide requested reports on trends and review business needs. Support and drive appropriate solutions.

  • Supporting existing employees with relevant visa and right to work documentation.

  • Support with benchmarking requests in collaboration with the Reward specialists.

    Essential

  • A-level or equivalent relevant experience

  • Strong foundations in employee relations, and previous management of your own case work.

  • A good understanding and knowledge of HR policies and procedures, including dealing with complex ER cases

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, able to build relationships with staff at all levels

  • Shows an appetite for continuous learning, initiative, motivation and energy with the confidence to propose new ideas.

  • Experience of working in a multi tasked and fast paced environment

  • Demonstrable previous experience acting as a knowledgeable and trusted advisor

  • Calm and methodical with excellent attention to detail even under pressure.

  • A sound understanding of current and forthcoming employment law issues

  • Discreet manner, able to deal with confidential and sensitive information

  • Strong team player, collaborative in approach, with a positive can do attitude

  • Experience of change management and complex ER case management with varying levels of stakeholders

  • Experience with Workday

  • Design bespoke solutions to adapt to and meet business needs in a changing environment.

  • Be familiar with learning and development tools and techniques
