The SMB College Group is a highly successful FE college, formed of two merged and reputable colleges -Brooksby Melton College and Stephenson College. Specialising in land-based, technical, trade and creative arts, we provide an extensive curriculum from Agriculture to Animal Care, Construction to Sport, Hair & Beauty to Care. We are an innovative and highly responsive centre for education and training with campuses in Coalville, Melton Mowbray and Brooksby. SMB College Group work with some fantastic industry partners to ensure they provide the skills needed now and in the future.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the College for a HR Advisor to join the team based at our Brooksby Campus. As part of a generalist team, you will gain experience across the full remit of Human Resources.

You will provide high level administrative support to the HR function, whilst working with managers and employees, to support and process a wide range of activities including recruitment, employee relations and payroll.

You will also have the opportunity to assist the Head of HR, with a range of HR projects to support the HR operational plan and to support the College in attracting, developing, retaining and engaging a talented workforce.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for HR along with recent demonstrable experience of providing high quality HR administration support and guidance. Together with excellent organisational skills, you will have the ability to prioritise tasks and maintain accurate records. In addition, you will have excellent attention to detail and be committed to providing a positive customer service.

The successful candidate's effective communication skills will allow them to communicate at all levels whilst building effective relationships.
