Full Job Description

Providing advice and casework

The work you do can have a huge impact on people's lives, and you will contribute to CACV's success

You will provide advice and casework assistance to clients over the telephone and via face-to-face appointments on housing matters including eviction, landlord disputes, and homelessness

You will manage your own caseload of clients, progressing each case through to its conclusion

You will work with clients who may be distressed and/or have complex advice needs

You will work towards individual and collective targets focused on the volume of clients you see and the quality of advice you provide

We are looking for someone with experience in providing housing advice to, and advocating for, clients.

In addition, you must:

Have excellent organisational and time management skills to manage a caseload of clients and meet deadlines

Be an excellent communicator to manage clients' expectations, ensure they understand your advice and that you understand their circumstances

Have a high level of resilience, enabling you to deal with the advice needs of clients

Being able to work collaboratively as part of a team to foster productive working relationships

Be accepting of feedback from your Team Leader, given to help you perform to the best of your abilities

Being organised, self-motivated and adaptable so you can respond to changing client and organisational needs
