Housekeeper

Mysa Care is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Housekeeper to support our service users at The Chestnuts care home.

Our residents are our top priority, so its no surprise that we want to ensure their environment is clean, safe, and comfortable at all times.

About the service

The Chestnuts provides residential support and accommodation for up to twenty adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), physical disabilities, autism, communication and sensory impairments and complex needs.

Staff at The Chestnuts have shown proven effectiveness in contributing to the quality of life of the residents, whilst maintaining a comfortable and friendly environment.

Main purpose of the role of Housekeeper

• Good teamwork is essential, as despite working off your own initiative, you will be part of a team of like-minded individuals who ensure the surroundings are kept spick and span. You will achieve this by keeping our bathrooms, toilets, communal areas, flooring, furniture, and fittings squeaky clean, alongside ensuring bins are emptied correctly.


• Organisation skills are a must, as you will have to keep tabs on items such as toiletries, soaps, cleaning products and towels, restocking as and when required.


• Other responsibilities as a Housekeeper will include an understanding of how to store cleaning chemicals correctly, infection control and maintaining health and safety protocol. But do not worry - as full training will be provided.
