Full Job Description

· To facilitate and encourage a pleasing environment for members, guests, and visitors to The Club. This is to be achieved in conjunction with the entire house team.

· To take responsibility for the upkeep, tidiness & maintenance of all areas of the clubhouse including the bar & cellar, kitchen, meeting rooms, locker rooms and external spaces in line with The Club's high standards.

· To be responsible for the delivery of the department's daily, weekly, and monthly targets.

· To take a hands-on approach to the role whilst overseeing the smooth running of the clubhouse including all internal & external events.

· Produce and deliver an annual budget for this department that incorporates all incomes, margins and expenditures for the club's food and beverage, including all function business.

· To liaise with the Commercial Manager in the marketing and development of the food and beverage business.

· To communicate and promote the services provided by the Club to members, guests, and visitors and to keep the House team informed at all times.

· To be aware of and work within the rules and regulations as laid down by the Licensing Justices and legislation.

· To ensure the rules and regulations of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene are adhered to.

· To ensure stock levels are correct and monitored regularly including cutlery, crockery and linen.

· To deal with member, guest, and visitor queries.

· To recruit, manage, train, and develop House staff.

· To roster staff effectively to ensure that duties are fulfilled, and staffing budgets are met.

· To follow cash handling procedures along with The Club's Intelligent Golf system procedures.

· To hold regular team meetings.

· Must be able to demonstrate management skills and experience of managing and delivering budgets.

· Up to date working knowledge of kitchen and restaurant practices.

· Cellar qualifications (or equivalent experience).

· A previously certified Licensee.

· Formal training/certificates in health and safety, food and hygiene and cleaning would be beneficial.

· Experience of all types and styles of service and menu provision.

· Demonstrable experience in marketing the services of a restaurant and function venue.

· To work on their own initiative and be a self-starter.

· Ability to problem solve.

· Interpersonal skills.

· Team player.

· Ability to plan and organise workload and to work to deadlines.,
