Full Job Description
- Meet and greet guests and visitors to the Hotel
- Manage face to face, on line and telephone bookings
- Check all reservations and room allocations
- Handle guest queries and requirements
- Check guests in and out of the Hotel
- Prepare restaurant reservations
- Maintain occupancy levels on the computer system
- Manage the computer system including room rates and changes
- Deal with customer requirements, complaints and service issues
- Handle cash and card payments
- Ensure a safe environment in which to work; report any hazard or maintenance defects immediately
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance
The Alderley Edge Hotel has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Hotel Reception Team Member to join the Front of House team. As a Hotel Reception Team Member you will be the first face to greet our guests and give them a great impression of our amazing Hotel. Dealing with our guests on a daily basis and supporting the Management team, you'll be an expert in communication and know how to work well as part of a team., With 50 stunning bedrooms and our superb Grill on the Hill restaurant offering a relaxed dining experience for up to 70 guests, the Alderley Edge Hotel is an iconic Cheshire institution. Our brigade of talented chefs work with the best fresh produce in our well equipped kitchen under the leadership of talented head chef, Mark. With great facilities and an open pass, it's a great place to work. You will have the opportunity to constantly develop and progress your career. We also offer a Lounge Bar menu and banqueting and events for up to 120 guests. Front of house, we offer a superb range of quality cocktails, excellent wines and premium spirits. We're a close-knit team who strive to provide the very best in customer service. Whether back of house or out front, under the leadership of General Manager Linda, you will have the opportunity to be your best every day all whilst working as part of a fun and friendly team.
