Full Job Description
Developing a creative approach to policy influence and wider advocacy.
Supporting organisational initiatives to embed organisational agenda in the
mainstream policy dialogue, build support from PPCs and MPs for our
proposals, and sustain public interest in this policy area.
Managing working relationships with external partners and other key
stakeholders, particularly with parliamentarians and other policy stakeholders.
Researching and analysing qualitative/statistical information, including primary
sources and government data sources/other third-party data.
Drafting policy reports, briefing notes, internal memos, presentations, emails to
external parties.
Helping to develop/disseminate evidence-based public policy solutions to
support programme goals.
Other duties that may arise from time to time.

An effective communicator, both written and verbal, with a specific ability to
communicate well with colleagues and explain complex information simply to
internal and external audiences.
Have excellent presentation skills and the ability to present to a wide variety of
audiences, tailoring messages according to the audience.
Have an ability to bring people together from different backgrounds and
sectors to build connections and establishing effective working relationships.

- Engaging MPs, Peers and Civil Servants to get policy implemented.
- Working with people from a variety of backgrounds and forging strong
relationships.
- Public speaking and presentation experience.

- Worked within the VCSE sector previously.
- Experience of the impacts of health inequalities.

- Politics related qualification either A-level or degree standard.
