Full Job Description

In collaboration with the Pharmacy and Specialist Medicine team, the post holder will be responsible for delivering and managing the pharmacy service to Rheumatology. You will gain experience in business planning, service improvement, financial management and clinical governance. You will be supported to further develop your leadership capabilities via a combination of internal and external training programmes., The post holder will carry out the full range of duties as the Highly Specialist Pharmacist for Rheumatology to deliver patient focused, quality care, based at Whipps Cross Hospital.

You will be a core member of the Trust's Rheumatology team, providing professional pharmaceutical governance, medicines safety, medicines information, medicines finance, education and training and medicines optimisation support to the team and the service's patients. You will build relationships and work with internal stakeholders and external partners to support the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care to all patients.

The post holder will support the Associate Director of Pharmacy, Deputy Head of Pharmacy and the Lead Pharmacist for Specialist Medicine, in managing the professional, clinical and technical input of pharmacy into Rheumatology.
