Full Job Description

Suitable applicants will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality diagnostic services including diagnostic angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker implantation and full range of device follow-up services. Candidates will also be expected to perform ambulatory monitoring, autonomic function testing, doctor and physiologist led ETT. In house training and company specific training courses will be given in all areas to ensure suitable candidates deliver a high quality service.
The posts offer a full time contract and a commitment to On-Call is required after successfully completing any identified training needs. Suitable applicants must reside within a 30 minute response time for on call commitments or remain on site during on call.
This position will offer Cardiac Physiologists an excellent development opportunity in clinical physiology within a specialist tertiary centre., As a Cardiac physiologist you will be required to perform without supervision a wide range of invasive and non-invasive diagnostic cardiac investigations.

From April 2017 the Government plans to extend the requirement to provide a criminal record certificate to Tier 2 visa applicants coming to work in Education, Health and Social Care sectors and to their adult dependants.
If you are a Tier 2 visa applicant and you are coming to work in an occupation defined by the relevant Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) code, you will be required to provide a criminal record certificate from any country you have lived in for 12 months or more in the last 10 years, this is also applicable for your adult dependants.
Employers are expected to implement the Care Certificate for all applicable new starters from April 2015. The Care Certificate aims to equip health and social care support workers with the knowledge and skills which they need to provide safe, compassionate care. We expect all new starters in clinical, patient facing posts (bands 1-4) to complete all 15 standards of the Care Certificate, within their first 6 months with the Trust.

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our team of Cardiac Physiologists; the applicant must be competent to perform the full range of non invasive cardiac diagnostic tests and should be working unsupervised in Cath lab procedures and brady pacing with an understanding of complex devices.
The successful candidates must be able to provide evidence of continuing professional development. Suitable candidates must possess either a Degree in Clinical Physiology, BTEC / HTEC in MPPM or equivalent. Healthcare academy registration/RCCP is essential for the post
