Walsall Talking Therapies Service within the Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides a Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression service to the local population of Walsall.
The service offers a number of evidence-based psychological interventions both at step 2 and step 3 as proposed by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidance.
The service endeavours to offer the local population a full range of evidence-based psychological interventions, within a stepped care approach, to a high standard and quality .
We are excited to begin a process of expanding our team in-line with Talking Therapies expansion targets and we are now seeking two permanent full-time High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapists to join and contribute to the innovation and success of our well-established Talking Therapies service., The post holders will work alongside other High Intensity Psychological Therapists (HIPIs), and will be required to assist in providing step 3 interventions and contributing to the development of the step 3 service being offered.
The step 3 service primarily offers one-to-one evidenced-based psychological treatments delivered through a combination of face to face and video consultations.
The service also delivers group interventions at step 3 and post holders will be key in developing and shaping the content and delivery of step 3 disorder specific groups to sit alongside the aforementioned interventions.

    The salary range quoted is as per NHS Agenda for Change pay structures. This is based on the number of years' working directly within the NHS at the advertised pay band. Experience gained with other NHS Trusts will apply, but candidates without prior experience working direct for the NHS would normally be appointed at the lowest point unless they can demonstrate the equivalent experience and then be eligible for incremental increases in future years.
    Successful applicants for clinical posts up to and including Band 4 are expected to hold the national Care Certificate qualification and will be supported to attain this once in post.
