Full Job Description

Are you a proactive and skilled HGV Technician? Calor Gas wants you for our on-site workshop in Neath. In this role, you will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, and modifications on our vehicle and trailer fleet. Plus, you'll provide vital technical support, managing tasks from fault analysis to resolution.
We need someone who can deliver top-notch technical work while upholding strict Health & Safety standards for equipment, machines, and tools. Initiative, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of vehicles, trailers, and workshop equipment are a must. Your organizational skills will shine as you maintain clear documentation, records, and meet deadlines.
Key responsibilities will include:
+ Carry out general maintenance repair work on the company's fleet of vehicles and trailers.
+ Ensure that all vehicles are in safe working order.
+ Execute all repairs to the highest standards.
+ Conduct in-depth engineering work and diagnostics.
+ Work effectively both independently and within a close-knit team.
+ Carry out all repairs in accordance with current Health and Safety legislation and company policies.
+ Safely operate all relevant equipment, machines, and tools.
+ Complete all associated documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

+ Hold education to City & Guilds standard in Mechanical Engineering or possess an equivalent engineering discipline.
+ Have previous experience as an HGV Mechanic in a similar role.
+ Preferably hold an HGV C+E licence (Class 1) and a current ADR, although this is not essential.
+ Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of vehicles, trailers, workshop plant, and equipment.
+ Possess the capability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems.
+ Display the ability to multitask and meet key deadlines effectively.
+ Exhibit rigorous fault-finding skills.
+ Have the capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
+ Showcase strong communication skills.
+ Can work effectively under pressure., To be considered for the above opportunity you must be eligible to live and work in UK and hold a full driving licence that is valid for you to drive in the UK.
