HGV Driver class 1

We are currently seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team. New qualified drivers are also welcome to apply; however, they will be required to undergo a driving assessment. As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for driving to and from supermarket hubs to collect and deliver food produce using a refrigerated trailer. No unloading is required as the staff at the hubs/RDC will handle this task. Your main duties will include opening the back doors and reversing onto the bays., Safely and efficiently drive HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport food produce between locations.

- Follow all relevant traffic laws and regulations.

- Perform vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues.

- Communicate effectively with the transportation team and hub staff.

- Adhere to delivery schedules and timelines.

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and logbooks.

Valid HGV Class 1 license.- Minimum of 1 year of experience driving Class 1 vehicles.

- Ability to pass a driving assessment (for new qualified drivers).

- Good driving record with no major traffic violations.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Flexibility to work day shifts (6am - 6pm), night shifts (6pm - 6am), and weekends.

- Willingness to work weekends if required.
