Full Job Description

The Acute Admissions Unit (AAU) at Whipps Cross Hospital is a busy 59 bedded medical admissions unit including ten monitored beds. We see a wide range of complex acute conditions on the unit that include level 2 patients (NIV)

We also staff an Ambulatory care unit. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and hardworking individual to work on this busy unit.

You will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and enhance your clinical practice. Potential development to band 4 and band 5. This area will provide insight towards a career in nursing.

This is an excellent opportunity to rotate in the ambulatory care unit and also make a difference to the quality of care, patient safety and experience in a busy and friendly environment.

The Health Care Assistant is a member of the ward / department team who implements prescribed care and undertakes administrative activities as directed by a registered nurse.
The post holder will be an integral part of the nursing team actively taking part in meeting the needs of patients and of the service in accordance with agreed standards under direct supervision of the registered nurse. The post holder will develop essential competencies though training and practice to ensure safety and quality are the priority.
