You will assist with providing a range of non-invasive cardiac investigations on patients in our busy department at Bristol Heart Institute. These procedures include Electrocardiograms (ECG), fitting and removing ECG monitoring devices, assisting the cardiac physiologists in more advanced tests where necessary as well as general administrative work.
You will be expected to study for the SCST Certificate in Electrocardiography .
Previous experience of working in a Cardiology Department or other healthcare environment would be an advantage.
Although based primarily at Bristol Heart Institute, there may be an expectation to cover other UHBW NHS Trust service delivery sites. Working hours will be subject to review as the service develops, therefore a flexible approach is essential., + Deliver an efficient, pleasant and compassionate service to our patients
+ Actively assist with the delivery, management, organisation and planning of the paediatric ECG and ambulatory monitoring service
+ Work, communicate and liaise closely with the Service Manager, and Lead Non-Invasive Cardiac Physiologist for Ambulatory Monitoring
+ Co-ordinate with clinical and managerial staff to arrange procedures, either in the department or on the ward
+ Input data onto documentation workspaces for every procedure undertaken.
+ Contribute to health and safety of staff, patients, and their carers., the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
