Full Job Description

A Key aspect of this role will be to support with his morning routine at home before accompanying him to school this includes providing support with his personal care, moving and handling and closely observe and tend to his clinical care needs when required. You will ensure his comfort, promote social interaction, and engage with his learning and development.

Throughout the night you will provide support with his personal care, moving and handling, making close observations, and attending to his clinical care needs when required. You will provide a peaceful environment to promote a restful nights sleep offering reassurance and comfort when needed.

Please note that all candidates will need to travel to Birmingham Childrens Hospital to complete shadow shifts until our service user is discharged home

Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.

We are looking for experienced and committed Healthcare Assistants with an interactive approach, who are eager to enhance their skills in the complex care sector. While prior complex care experience is beneficial, it is not a requirement as full bespoke clinical training will be provided.

  • Our service user is a friendly and sociable young boy who is currently residing in Birmingham Children's Hospital, we are looking to build a skilled care team for him to return home to his loving family in Quinton, Birmingham.

    You will be required to provide support and companionship with his complex care needs, on a 1:1 basis throughout the day and night.

    His favourite activities are going swimming, exploring with his sensory toys, listening to nursery rhymes, and having stories read to him. Since he has started school, he now loves to explore lots of messy play too!,
  • Part Time Days & Full Time Nights Availble

  • Days: 8am 4pm

  • Nights: 10pm 8am


  • Take a look at our pay rates

    Weekdays: £13.00 per hour (£104 approx. per 8-hour shift)

    Weeknights: £13.50 per hour (£135 approx. per 10-hour shift)

    Weekends: £14.00 per hour (£140 approx. per 10-hour shift

    Bank Holidays: £15.00 per hour (£150 approx. per 10-hour shift), In return for your hard work and dedication you will receive:
