Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist or post-doctoral health services researcher to further their experience by undertaking research and evaluation within the Centre for Medication Safety and Service Quality (CMSSQ). Half of the post-holder's time will be spent delivering on funded research as part of the NIHR North West London Patient Safety Research Collaboration, and the other half will be supporting pharmacy staff in developing skills in research and evaluation. This is a maternity leave cover post for a period of one year.

The role will include designing and piloting data collection methods, protocol design, data collection and analysis, and report writing, all within the area of medication safety. Projects will include a realist evaluation of how and why barcode medication scanning adds value in relation to medication safety, and potentially exploring the value of user-testing of prescribing guidelines.

The post holder will also provide support to the pharmacy department in relation to research and evaluation, through providing one to one support as well as contributing to the department's programme of education
