Full Job Description

You may be the one our client is searching high and low for, our client is on the search for a Health and Safety Manager, someone who has experience implementing current policies and managing the H&S of the environment? Do you want to work for a very pretigious company located in Stroud, Gloucestershire?
This is a perfect role for someone who works in H&S and is looking for a step up into a steady junior managerial position.
You will need to be able to formulate and adhere to H&S policies, helping with the implementation of plans which align with legal requirements. As a Health and Safety Manager you will need to hold a valid certification in Occupational Health and Safety, who can assess practices, procedures and carry out the required risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities of a Health and Safety Manager:
+ Assess equipment and machinery for potential unsafe conditions, escalate these findings to the required department.
+ Deliver training sessions and presentations on health and safety as well as and accident prevention.
+ Implement health and safety plans in accordance with legal guidelines.
+ Assess risks that may be present and adhere to the correct H&S policies.
+ Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities.
+ Create reports which explain health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics within the business.
+ Provide recommendations for addressing H&S matters.
+ Implement H&S plans in the workplace in accordance with legal guidelines and H&S policies.
+ Investigate accidents or incidents to identify causes and manage worker's compensation claims.

+ Previous experience in a Health & Safety position, whether you are a Health and Safety Coordinator, Health and Safety Assistant, or similar.
+ Previous experience with generating reports and create appropriate H&S policies.
+ Knowledge of legal H&S guidelines.
+ Valid certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
