Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Community Wellbeing & Strategy Team as a Health Improvement officer to lead work that aims to reduce health inequalities in partnership with key agencies and local communities. The post holder is expected to work under the direction and guidance of the Operational Manager Health & Wellbeing & Library Strategy (Cardiff Council) and a Consultant in Public Health from Cardiff and Vale UHB's Local Public Health Team who will agree specific work objectives on an annual basis according to local needs and priorities.
About the job

The post holder will support the strategic development and implementation of health improvement projects and interventions in a range of settings and with identified target groups, working to address emerging and existing health inequalities relating to health care access, experience and health outcomes.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with members of the Community - specifically people from Ethnic Minority backgrounds. They will also be able to evidence skills in data management including the ability to present reports, evidence trend analysis and analyse data., This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring service Enhanced check.

This post is part time and will work 26 hours per week. The pro-rata salary is £26,859 per annum.
