Full Job Description

We are looking for someone who can bring life to their specialist subject. You will support the Subject Lead to grow and develop the department with plenty of opportunity to make your mark. In addition as a HOY you will lead the year team, creating strong sense of identity and providing outstanding pastoral care and guidance for the students in your year. We need someone who:

  • sets high expectations for teaching and learning

  • inspires students to love learning

  • challenges our young people to think in new ways

  • cultivates positive and respectful culture within the Academy

  • encourages students to follow systems and procedures

  • Is able to deal with bullying, discrimination and peer-on-peer abuse offline or online

  • is a reflective and collaborative practitioner with great subject knowledge

  • inspires and enthuses children with their passion for their specialist subject

  • establishes and maintains strong relationships, using excellent interpersonal skills

  • has an up-to-date knowledge of teaching and behaviour management strategies

  • is willing to model and support the Oasis ethos

    We are looking for an inspirational qualified teacher to take responsibility as Head of Year. Ideally, you will be a Maths, History or Business Studies specialist. You will be joining a team that has a relentless focus on raising achievement.
