Full Job Description

  • An outstanding individual with a music degree (or equivalent) and ideally Qualified Teacher Status, with experience of senior management in a Music Hub or school.

  • To teach and direct ensembles according to your specialism in schools and at the Music Centre, demonstrating outstanding teaching.

  • This post will involve some evening and weekend working as required.

  • The successful candidate will line manage the Assistant Heads of Service with overall responsibility for Teaching and Learning and will also act as Deputy to the Head of Service.

    We are looking for a well-qualified musician and teacher to join the leadership team of this well-established Music Service from September 2024., Enhanced DBS checks will be undertaken as part of the recruitment process. It will be necessary to request references before being invited to interview as part of safer recruitment.

    Redbridge Music Service enjoys a reputation for very high-quality music education. Our pupils present over 50 concerts per year having celebrated our 24 th Redbridge Schools' Choral Festival at the Royal Albert Hall to a capacity audience in March of last year. Concert venues have included the Barbican, St John's Smith Square, Royal Festival Hall and Buckingham Palace. Collaboration work includes supporting shows at the Kenneth More Theatre working with our colleagues at the Redbridge Drama Centre, also operated by Vision RCL.

    Successful applicants will be placed on a salary scale according to their experience and qualifications.
