Investing in our homes and delivering a first-class responsive Repairs and Maintenance service is central to strengthening our position as a sector leading landlord. To ensure our tenants continue to benefit from an efficient and cost-effective repairs service, we're seeking highly commercial and performance driven leader to join us as our Head of Repairs Performance; an integral role in driving and challenging operational delivery of both our director labour organisation and contracted works; ultimately improving service delivery and value for money for our tenants.

As a key member of the Repairs and Maintenance leadership team, you'll drive a pro-active approach to delivering the responsive repairs service, ensuring a laser focus on driving efficiency and productivity enhancements across all services. Your leadership and insight will enable the effective delivery of all repairs related commercial activity. With a steadfast commitment to tenant satisfaction, you will collaborate with senior colleagues across our organisation to ensure a first-class responsive repairs service, continually seeking to enhance and refine our operations.

Responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to:

  • Leading and motivating our Repairs Planning, Service Delivery and Contractor Delivery teams, developing a high-performance, tenant-centric culture.

  • Setting and monitoring operational KPIs, working colleagues across all level and teams in our organisation, to challenge current and shape future practices and processes and drive efficiencies that deliver improve results for our tenants.

  • Develop and maintain robust procurement plans to ensure the effective development, maintenance and delivery of our building materials and active contractor supply chain.

  • Defining and implementing contract management processes, including the development, management and review of contractor KPIs, initiating decisive action when required to ensure these are met.

  • Ensuring robust financial management including supporting the setting of our responsive repairs budget and leading the management of the valuation and payment process for our subcontractors and key supply chain; ensuring our tenants receive value for money at all times.

    Our ideal candidate? You'll have a commercial background in Quantity Surveying with significant experience in construction or maintenance works. You'll hold membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIOB, RICS). You'll have strong proven commercial acumen and experience including a working knowledge of contract law and procurement regulations, in addition to a track-record in managing financial and KPI performance, preferably in a construction, maintenance, or landlord setting. Importantly, you'll be a seasoned leader of people, with a proven record of engaging and managing teams; holding you own and other team to high standards and driving strong performance through others.
