Full Job Description

The Nelsons' Regulatory Ops / Affairs' Team partners with the global functions of product, innovation, brand, digital, commercial, R&D/technical, and others (such as Legal, Quality and Supply Chain), to enable exciting opportunities across the whole of Nelsons' portfolio and land market beating products and claims. We help to create, grow and protect the business, with our specific domain expertise, can-do mentality and taking end-to-end accountability. We ensure that the above functions can progress at pace, all projects, in order to deliver the business's strategic growth plans.

You will be joining the business at an energising time as we continue our strategic transformation, looking to build and launch our brand, product and digital ambitions to support our business growth and meet our consumers' global well-being needs. You will be comfortable and confident to front that role, using your excellent inter-personal skills to build trusted, cross-functional and commercially focussed collaborative alliances with stakeholders.

The role offers excellent exposure to Nelsons' Senior Leadership Team and will be a key pillar of a function that is critical in enabling the organisation's growth ambitions., · Deliver strategic regulatory guidance and conduct comprehensive risk assessments for global innovation projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

· Lead the development and implementation of regulatory strategies, providing ongoing guidance for Nelsons' global innovation programme.

· Confirm regulatory classifications and timings to ensure smooth transitions from concept to execution, aligning with regulatory team expectations.

· Continuously monitor global regulatory developments and incorporate these insights into the innovation programme to maintain compliance and competitive advantage.

· Develop and maintain strong interfaces with internal teams and external partners, including trade associations and scientific bodies, representing Nelsons in relevant external forums.

· Manage the collation of data and preparation of detailed dossiers for regulatory submissions, coordinating follow-ups with regulatory authorities to secure timely marketing authorisations.

· Maintain and renew marketing authorisations, manufacturing site licenses, and update safety information to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Approve product labeling, advertising, and promotional material, ensuring they meet all regulatory standards and provide regulatory solutions for compelling consumer communications.

· Conduct thorough risk assessments, provide pragmatic recommendations balancing commercial benefits and regulatory risks, and effectively manage potential regulatory issues.

· Significant experience of the regulatory requirements that govern the healthcare and or wellness and or FMCG industry in regulatory affairs/operations is essential (including areas of foods, food supplements, homeopathy, medicines, herbal remedies, cosmetics, dietary supplements, complementary feeds (Pets), VMS)

· A proven track record in supporting global product and claims support and development, in active collaboration with R&D and non-R&D functions and 3rd party consultants/suppliers

· Preferable experience working with external bodies (such as trade associations, Regulatory Authorities, etc), driving a business strategic growth agenda

· Great collaborator in an international team, exposure to Asian and US markets would be an advantage

· Ability to assess and summarise regulatory risks and opportunities and the impact it has on the existing and innovation portfolio. Go beyond reporting and help create internal commitment across the functions and regions to help tackle these by creating the necessary unlocks to deliver commercial opportunities

· Pro-active self-direction with a high level of initiative and persistence and a very much hands-on approach to results delivery
