Full Job Description

We're looking for an energetic, dynamic, creative and experienced Head of Vehicle Fleet Operations to lead our Fleet operations team and help us to reimagine how we deliver in-contract experiences to our customers.
You'll join to lead a team with a mixture of experience levels, and lots of enthusiasm for what they do. On the maintenance side, you'll help the team manage performance of existing partners, as well as think about what and how we might want to change.
On the operations side, you'll lead a team to manage fleet admin, condition and movement of our fleet using partners where appropriate and always maintaining outrageously good customer service.
We have one of the fastest growing fleets in the UK and one of the largest EV fleets in the country. Our in-contract offering will see a significant increase in demand and we need to be ready to deliver this. This is a great opportunity to reinforce, streamline and manage robust processes and partnerships to be able to do this, as well as implement new approaches and effective ways of working. This is a great opportunity to use creative thinking in a fast-paced delivery environment.

What you'll do

  • Review existing processes including customer journeys and develop or change where appropriate to make sure that we're ready for scale

  • Develop KPIs for the teams and our partners including SLAs where appropriate, and make sure they stick to them

  • Assess our systems and training tools and ensure they're used effectively, making changes where you need

  • Build out reporting to track performance and identify where we need to make changes

  • Own complex problems, generate & implement solutions

  • Nurture strong relationships with our key partners and ensure they're aligned in terms of output and culture

  • Work closely and collaboratively with internal teams particularly in Operations on knowledge sharing, process optimisation, project management and product development

  • Coach your teams to be able to outperform and inspire them to take full ownership of delivery within their areas of responsibility

  • Help them with their career development and progression

  • Plan headcount in Vehicle Operations and work with Talent to recruit where required

Significant experience working with fleet maintenance partners

  • Experience and understanding of fleet operations

  • Experience working in a high growth company

  • An operational mindset - scope, implement, scale is the way we look at everything

  • Demonstrated history of ownership, close collaboration with colleagues as well as strong presentation and communication skills

  • To be naturally curious with a history of measurable positive impact wherever you go and a completer-finisher mentality

  • To thrive in ambiguity, ask incisive questions and take a structured approach to problem-solving

  • A strong bias to analysis and analytical capability - being able to quantify requirements or problems and work through them based on rational principles is key
