The Head of Business Change Management will operate within the People Services & Delivery function and be responsible for activity across all global CPU business lines.

The successful candidate will therefore be required to work across multiple business units within the scope of their jurisdiction, each with specific requirements from an Employee Relations perspective.

A role you will love

As the Head of Business Change Management, you will be accountable for the delivery of Employee change projects and activities across the ER team aligned to the operating model and which delivers on the business change strategy. You will lead and provide expertise to global people change programmes, develop a set of consistent templates, processes, and practices in relation to ER change programmes.,

  • Develop the approach to managing Global Employee Relations change programmes, including determining a globally consistent offering, improving processes, developing templates and managers guides as appropriate.

  • Lead complex ER change projects both within and across jurisdictions, working with direct reports, other members of the ER function, and the wider people function.

  • Work with key managers in the Business and Business Partners to provide consultancy advice on employment legislation, policy related matters and process requirements for any ad hoc business initiatives such as TUPE, restructuring etc.

  • Work in conjunction with the Business Partners and Head of Service excellence to understand upcoming people change project requirements to pull together people change management plans and resource requirements.

  • In conjunction with the Global Head of Employee Resources you will secure resources for projects from the wider Employee Relations team.

  • Develop and coach members of the global ER teams.

  • Support and implement the People team aspects of Business Change; provide expertise and advice on the people requirements, working alongside the relevant Business Partner.

  • Manage ER aspects of change programmes across the organisation, collaborating with colleagues to ensure people changes are effectively managed and implemented.

  • Coach and educate the wider 'People Function' to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and best practice in relation to employee relations aspects of business transformation.

  • Support the Business and Business Partner to ensure effective consultation is carried out with employees, works councils, unions, Forums and other representative bodies in line with local legislation. Maintain a master list of proposed and completed finalised programmes, including individual names, by business area and location; report to local statutory bodies using appropriate paperwork such as HR1s.

    Relevant professional HR qualification or significant ER case management/litigation experience.

  • Knowledge of relevant employment law / regulatory impacts with background of implementation.

  • Expert in effective communications.

  • Knowledge of CPU and the Organisation.

  • Fantastic stakeholder management skills.

  • Demonstrable advanced planning and development skills. A proven track record of leading Projects across multiple jurisdictions.
