Hairdressing Apprentice STUDIO 29 HAIR & BEAUTY LTD

Assist qualified hairdressers with shampooing, applying hair treatments, during colour techiniques and blow-drying etc.

Answering the phone and booking appointments.

Keeping the salon clean and tidy.

Supplying clients with refreshments.

After training you will also provide basic cuts and styling and as your skills progress so will the complexity of the services you deliver., Level 2 Hairdressing Professional apprenticeship standard, including an ooprtunity to further enhance your maths and English grades with Functional Skills if required.

This apprenticeship includes the Hair Professionals (Hairdressing) Diploma L2.

You will work with expert assessors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.

You will experience a blended learning model.

This programme is delivered via a day release delivery model which means that one day per week, your attendance is required at our Derby Road campus, Mansfield NG18. This attendance is required during term time only.

You will gather learning evidence, journals and off-the-job records using your e-portfolio.

At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed that you are ready to enter 'Gateway' and for your End Point Assessment to be arranged.

GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4/C) Desired, This role requires a lot of standing, please be aware of this when making your application. You'll also need good listening skills and the ability to make conversation easily. Level 2 (GCSE)

Studio 29 is a small and friendly hair and beauty salon located just outside the centre of Mansfield. The team pride themselves on providing their clients with an excellent service and the salon has a quality feel. The salon has a diverse range of clients and offers a full range of services to meet their needs. The salon does open late nights and Saturdays to accommodate their clients. Studio 29 believes in training and many of the staff have completed apprenticeships to develop their skills and knowledge.

You could reduce your training time, or finish your apprenticeship faster, if you have relevant prior learning or experience. This could be relevant:
