Full Job Description

Working closely with the Group Retail Sales Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of selected Key Accounts as well as supporting the wider account base to drive sales and ensure delivery of our overall profit and sales goals. You will be liaising closely with divisional sales teams as well as Commercial, Inventory and Sales Operations colleagues.

We are looking for a candidate who is customer focused, strategic and proactive with an ambitious, commercial mindset. This includes the ability to build customer relationships, combined with strong organisational skills. Meticulous attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and prioritise and an ability to manage workload to hit deadlines are essential. The role also calls for frequent liaison with internal stakeholders and as such, we're looking for someone with excellent communication skills and ideally previous experience working closely with publishing colleagues.

A true team player who is happy to support the rest of the team when needed, with an enthusiasm for working in a fast-moving commercial environment, the successful candidate will be committed to building internal and external relationships, supporting Hachette Sales strategy and beating sales budgets.

Excellent Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and data analysis skills are essential and we are looking for someone with proven experience in a publishing sales environment and demonstrable presentation skills and sales analysis experience.

From £28,000 dependent on experience (+bonus +benefits),

  • The role will be based at our London office, Carmelite House, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.
