Full Job Description

We are looking to offer a Group FP&A Senior Manager the opportunity to join our expanding Group Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team based in Stevenage.

About the team
The Group FP&A team is responsible for board reporting, budgeting & forecasting and investor reporting outputs for the group, working closely with senior executives.

About the role
Reporting to the Head of Group FP&A, you will lead across a number of areas of FP&A including budgeting, forecasting and month end board, investor and lender reporting.

We offer hybrid working and the team are often in the office three days a week and work flexibly when needed.,

  • Ownership the five year budget and business plan process, working with senior executives and divisional finance directors.

  • Deputise for the Head of FP&A as required.

  • Lead all lender reporting including business presentations to meet the Group's covenant requirements.

  • Lead all investor reporting, providing key insight into Group performance and answering queries as required.

  • Prepare board presentations and papers as required.

  • People management responsibility for the FP&A analyst, providing coaching, guidance and support.

  • Support the M&A team with new acquisitions, integrations and alignment to the Group's reporting requirements.

  • Undertake detailed financial analysis using advanced excel and modelling skills to provide business insight to the executive and enable the Group to meet its objectives.

  • Support the development of functional reporting in Oracle, driving improved insight into the Group's cost base.

  • Support the development and improvement of the FP&A function by identifying and driving additional opportunities to provide additional insight.

    Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with several years experience working in an FP&A role.

  • Strong experience of financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting

  • Experience of business partnering with senior stakeholders

  • Significant experience leading budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Advanced financial modelling and excel skills.

  • Strong systems experience. Experience of PBCS (Oracle) desirable.

  • Strong presentational skills with the ability to present financial data clearly.

  • The ability to challenge senior stakeholders and operate with appropriate impact and influence.

  • Experience of the infrastructure sector would be advantageous but not essential.
