Full Job Description

  • Grass and shrub bed maintenance, hedge cutting, weeding, litter collection, brush cutting and other associated duties

  • Maintain all plant and equipment as instructed

  • Reporting of any required repairs to estate or machinery

  • Complete job sheets as required for works carried out or scheduled

  • The use and maintenance of hand tools

  • General maintenance and painting

  • Acknowledging and reporting any breaches of security or damage to the estate

  • To utilise appropriate PPE and act in accordance with Health and Safety Policy

  • Other duties may be included as an when required

    Full driving licence

  • Previous grounds maintenance is desirable but full training will be given

  • Act with integrity and professionalism at all times

  • Promote and maintain the good reputation of the estate

  • Use good communication and have the ability to liaise with members of the public in a polite and professional manner

  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn applications of health & safety and COSHH regulations is essential

  • Mower, brush cutter, hedge trimmer and spraying certificates (PA1/PA6) would be beneficial.


    • Applicants will need to be self-motivated, reliable, enthusiastic, conscientious, have good time management skills, the ability to use their own initiative and capable of working individually or as part of a team. Full uniform/PPE will be provided.

  • £24,000 - £26,000 (£11.54 p/hr - £12.50 p/hr) This depends on experiences/qualifications

  • Full training will be given including NPTC Qualifications

  • Company Match Auto enrolment Pension Scheme

  • Sick pay after you have been working with the company for 6 months. This will be for a limited time for each sickness period

  • 20 days holiday per year + Bank Holidays (28 days in Total) 3 Days need to be taken over the Christmas shut down period. Due to the nature of the business there are restrictions when Holiday can be taken, more information upon request.
