Mitie Landscapes has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the UK's market leading FM company. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be supervising the grounds maintenance team and providing instrumental support, as well as overseeing all winter maintenance operations.

Main duties and responsibilities for this role include supervising a team of grounds maintenances operatives to the highest level, effectively planning work to ensure efficient use of labour, materials and equipment. You will oversee the maintenance team and ensure you lead by example to implement a positive health and safety culture.

As a Contracts Supervisor, you will have prior experience in grounds maintenance or something similar, in addition to supervisory experience that qualifies you to manage a team of mobile and static workers. A passion for the outdoors is a must. The successful candidate will also possess a full driving license and PAI & PA6 spraying license, as well as a good understanding of smartphone technology and the ability to work in an agile and flexible environment.

Due to the nature of this role, health and safety responsibilities must also always be adhered to. This includes following company policies and procedures, reporting any apparent deficiencies in systems or equipment, and using all work equipment and personal PPE properly in accordance with training received.
