Full Job Description

Based in Corsham, Wiltshire we are looking for a full time Grounds Maintenance Operative to carry out general grounds maintenance tasks and reactive jobs.

Working in a small, dedicated team, driven to deliver exceptional service every day to our clients. You will need to be reliable, adaptable, professional, & able to prioritise workloads.

Standard working hours are 08:00 - 16:30 M-F, but flexible working is available.

MOD Security clearance will be required with this role. Proof of the right to work in the UK is Essential. Spent criminal convictions are not necessarily a barrier to obtaining security clearance.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Grass cutting and strimming

-General gardening work including weeding, watering, and mulching

-Leaf blowing & collection

-Winter road maintenance, including gritting and snow clearance

-Marking sports pitches

-Hedge cutting

-On call as required for winter maintenance. This includes additional on call payments.

Full driving licence

-Basic horticultural knowledge, including plant ID and care

-Qualifications in equipment maintenance

-Ability to work with minimal supervision to a high standard

-Must be willing to join on call team for out of hours road gritting etc. (on call runs from November to March and is approximately 1 weeks on 1 week off)

-Some mechanical knowledge and experience of maintaining grounds equipment

Bonus points if you have:

-Chainsaw maintenance and operator's certificate
