Full Job Description

Term Time plus 10 days

Francis Holland, Regent's Park is looking to recruit a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) who will assist the School in all areas from cover work to leading clubs and societies to administration. This is an important role at the School and the successful applicant will quickly establish himself or herself as a crucial part of the GTA team and of the whole community. The successful applicant is likely to have experience of working with young people and will be a role model for the pupils in the School.

We are looking for an individual who may be considering a career in teaching and who wants to gain a good understanding of how an excellent independent school operates. We anticipate that there will be a strong team spirit amongst the GTAs, and that each member of the team will find his or her own areas of particular interest in the rich variety of co-curricular offerings at the school, such as sports, music, arts or drama. GTAs will be expected to undertake any necessary training for the fulfilment of their duties, such as lifeguard training for swimming lesson supervision or basic First Aid training. The School will cover the costs of the training.

Regular working hours will be divided into shifts, either 7.30am-4pm or 9.30am-6pm.
