Full Job Description

We are seeking a Global Internal Communications Manager to join us on maternity cover until the end of 2024. You'll have the exciting task of bringing our global messages to life, helping us achieve our ambition of becoming the greatest place to work. You'll play a pivotal role in conveying our purpose, values, and vision to over 30,000 teammates across more than 140 attractions worldwide. This dynamic position involves leading significant communication initiatives, including the delivery of live monthly CEO Townhalls, managing the employee communication app, and spearheading the annual employee engagement and strategic pulse surveys. Collaborating closely with the Internal Communication Belonging Director, Social Media & Video Content Producer, and Global Communications Executive, you'll craft and execute a compelling engagement strategy, particularly through digital content, to keep our diverse frontline teams informed and inspired.

Your key responsibilities include owning and executing the internal communications strategy, ensuring the dissemination of vital global updates, and managing the Social Media & Video Content Producer to generate engaging content. You'll lead crisis communication efforts, deliver global employee awards, and support Diversity, Equity & Inclusion campaigns, all while maintaining consistent messaging aligned with our corporate objectives. With strong project management skills and a knack for creative, impactful communication, you'll help make Merlin Entertainments the greatest place to work, fostering a connected and motivated workforce.

  • Previous experience managing internal communications and leading a small team, ideally in a fast-paced global setting.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven track record of delivering impactful and concise communications to diverse audiences.

  • Comfortable working closely with, and confidently advising, senior stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with internal communications tools and technology, including website and app CMS/SharePoint.

  • Excellent project management skills, including team, budget, and agency management.

  • Ability to understand and interpret complex issues, execute against strategic priorities, and remain composed under pressure.

  • Knowledge of video content production, creative briefing, audience segmentation, and the latest content trends.

  • A motivated self-starter with a passion for creative communications who enjoys working collaboratively.
