Full Job Description

The purpose of the Generation Asset Manager is the day-to-day proactive management of the Combined Heat and Power and Gas to Grid portfolio (North Region), to ensure maximum availability and generation potential to meet wider Severn Trent Green Power targets in terms of PBit, Generation and Carbon.

The Generation Asset Manager is also responsible for the delivery of specified performance measures, ad hoc work streams and project activities and support as required.,

  • Manage the G2G and (North Region) CHP portfolio to ensure full / maximum generating capacity through pro-actively managed asset availability.

  • Manage relations and performance of the (North Region) CHP's under STW CHP team support agreements

  • Manage key G2G maintenance and support contracts and relationships to deliver maximum asset availability across the generating asset portfolio

  • Work closely with A.D Site teams including site operatives, site managers, and Regional Managers to ensure that all daily, weekly, monthly CHP & G2G2 checks are completed to the correct standard.

  • Work closely with A.D plant managers and Regional Managers to ensure planned and reactive maintenance is carried out to achieve optimal plant output and availability.

  • Support the Power & Controls Manager with metering and Ofgem and compliance related certification requirements.

  • Management / forecasting of medium to large OPEX budget and Capital improvement / expansion projects in line with STGP budgets.

  • Proactive audits undertaken to ensure 100% compliance to activities performed including quality and HS&W of everyone.

  • Provide support to contract negotiations.

  • Provide, training and support to STGP site teams on G2G and CHP asset maintenance.

    Knowledge of working within and maintaining compliance within an ISO accredited environment.

  • Extensive experience of working with G2G & CHP.

  • An understanding of SCADA.

  • Recognised H&S Management qualification.

  • Demonstrable KPI production experience

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Electrical experience

  • Effectively plan and organise own workload is essential

  • Effectively plan and allocate work to Operational resources within specific timescales to ensure effective utilisation of these resources is essential
