Full Job Description
We are now recruiting for a Gatehouse Operative to join our Gatehouse Team at our Distribution Centre in Amesbury, Wiltshire.
The team are responsible for ensuring gate barrier control, booking in deliveries, and booking out and security checking goods out vehicles.
Job Overview
- Barrier control
- Carry out regular patrols
- Report damage
- Complete bay checks
- Ensure site safety during a site evacuation
- Monitor the fire alarm and sprinkler alarm panels and act when activated
- Undertake Yard Safety Marshal duties during busy periods ensuring the main road is clear
- Respond to assistance requests from colleagues
- Monitor CCTV and report any issues
- Assist third parties and emergency services under the guidance of the Loss Prevention Manager
Computer proficient - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional
- Understanding of distribution centre functions is preferable
- Experience of a similar role is preferable

- Working an average 38.61 hours per week, working 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts from 6.30am - 6.30pm
