Full Job Description
- Provide training and assessment (if and when qualified) to candidates on our agreed-upon range of courses.
- Support candidates throughout their course, ensuring an enjoyable learning experience. Watching their progress and liaising with employers and other colleagues involved in the delivery to ensure timely completion from training through to assessment.
- Conduct assessments and examinations in accordance with the requirements of our governing body scheme, ensuring they are marked promptly and that candidates receive feedback on the outcome of the assessment and/or examination decision with follow-up support.
- Liaise with management about practical resources, course structure, development and training material as you see fit.
- Liaise with the Administration Director regarding non-technical resources, candidate paperwork and candidate feedback.
- Liaise with management regarding any issues regarding the course schedule, ensuring you keep a schedule that ensures courses run on time.
- Process and maintain candidate assessment paperwork in an organised and confidential manner.
- Invigilate examinations and handle oral questions.
- Promote the company and its courses through honest business support to candidates and their businesses.
- Continue to develop skills and update knowledge to increase the scope in which training, and assessment can be provided. Gastec will provide this with CPD.
- Prepare and tidy training and assessment areas. Also, ensure these areas are kept safe and secure from misuse. Keep analysers calibrated and a full itinerary of tools required.
Must hold ACS certificates in relevant fields and have at least five years of experience in the industry. - Must have commercial/Industrial gas &/or catering experience.
- Other scopes, including domestic, Oil, heat pumps, etc, would be negotiable in salary but not essential. - Gastec is open to upskilling all staff to their maximum potential if willing to learn and expand.
- Assessors' award is preferable - Gastec is open to offering this training into qualification.
- Must be approachable and confident to stand in front of a group and deliver engaging training whilst handling debates and practical tasks.
- Be ready to handle questions from candidates that will require on-the-spot debate and conversation.
- Be approachable and able to support our customers during their training, both theoretically and practically
- Be Hands-on with tools and willing to engage in daily practical training.
- Be willing to evolve course content and provide touch and input on the overall course packages., What Gas qualifications do you hold? And how many years of experience do you have?
- Do you live within a reasonable commuting distance of our MK10 0AQ training centre?
- Do you have previous experience in the training/assessment workplace?, Commerical gas: 4 years (preferred)

- Full time starting with upskill training required and minimal experience: £32,000
- For experienced trainer with commercial and catering as a minimum: £45,000

Job Type: Contract basis (Full-time role negotiable on experience, and favourable)
Salary: Competitive on the high end of the industry, negotiable on experience.
Benefits:
Full-time employment benefits significantly increase from a contract basis; this can be discussed in an initial interview.
Schedule:
7:45 AM - 4 PM on contracted days.
Lunch and breaks are negotiated depending on the course schedule but are mandatory daily.
Overtime is negotiable with weekend and evening courses if a trainer wishes to offer the service - not mandatory., Job Types: Full-time, Freelance
