Full Job Description

Bath Spa University are working in collaboration with a number of higher and further education institutions in the region on a project called FWD. This role is crucial to the learner experience of the program, and will oversee learner recruitment, attendance, learner engagement and provide administrative support for the delivery of skills sessions (Guest Speakers, Visiting Lecturers, Bath college tutors) delivering the program.,

  • Responsible for the administration of FWD admissions process.

  • Assess and interview potential FWD candidates

  • Provide joining instructions to participants at the start of the course, ensuring participants have all programme details as required and can join the course smoothly.

  • Attend all in-person sessions (Meetings and training delivery) delivered by BSU as required; this includes 3-day sessions each week and one evening session.

  • Provide additional data monitoring and collate learner feedback.

  • Maintain contact with learners after graduation to monitor their career progress.

  • Coordinate the delivery of bespoke in-person training sessions, liaising with the team of delivery staff and partner organisations.

  • Work closely with partners of the FWD programme as directed to facilitate the delivery, providing admin support. I.e taking attendance registers, sharing lesson resources, sharing information for the website, support recruitment.

  • Coordinate industry projects together with learners and industry partners.

  • Organise and run networking events to be held in person once per cohort as part of the evening events schedule for the programme.

    Excellent knowledge of the essentials of effective administration.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills; numerate and literate.

  • Able to manage multiple deadlines with conflicting priorities.

  • Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Teams

  • Ability to plan and manage time to work efficiently and deliver to schedule.

  • Able to analyse problems, recommend appropriate solutions and take them forward with the support of others.
