Full Time Sales Assistant - Paint / DIY store

Full Time Paint / DIY Store Sales Assistant ~ 34 hours per week ~ £15.49 - £16.49 / hour

Tuesday to Saturday ( Sunday & Monday off )

Established in Stoke Newington , London , 23.5 years ago , we are a local independent Paint shop that specialises in selling household paints & hardware to both trade and DIY customers . Our aim is to supply quality products from leading brands including Dulux , Leyland , Little Greene & Osmo at competitive prices whilst offering 1st class customer service . All our staff , many of whom have been with us for years , are given comprehensive training on all the products we sell as well as training on our in-store paint mixing machines , thus making for a pleasant in-store experience for staff & customers alike .

We are now looking for a reliable , friendly, customer focused person , who is able to lift the products we sell & has a "can do attitude " & an interest in DIY to join our valued team of 5 staff in selling our products & enhancing our good reputation .

Your main job duties will include

• talking to customers & preparing orders


• matching paint colours & advising on paint finishes


• mixing up colours on one of our 4 paint mixing machines


• Stock Ordering


• assisting with deliveries & restocking the shelves
  
  1st class customer service skills ~ you will be doing a lot of talking !


• an excellent level of written & spoken English & good basic numeracy


• an ability to show initiative


• an ability & willingness to lift the products that we sell , the heaviest being about 15 kgs .


• an ability to multitask as it can often be busy


• a minimum of 1 YEARS face to face RETAIL experience
