Full-Time Delivery Driver / Installer

You will predominately be driving the company Luton van (fuel card provided) accompanied by a driver's mate visiting customers' homes to deliver, install and remove a variety of domestic appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, cookers, fridges, etc.

You will be required to complete between 6-12 deliveries per day, this is subject to vary on a day-to-day basis depending on the delivery type. It is essential you understand the importance of arriving at jobs on time and ensure all delivery related paperwork is completed correctly and accurately.

Due to working in a domestic premises, a professional and courteous manner is expected at all times, making sure to leave the customer's home in a clean and safe manner.

It is crucial you recognise and understand the significance of health and safety standards and maintain them constantly.

To ensure all work is completed to an excellent standard, you must be able to comprehend when it is necessary to contact a supervisor in order to help the customer further.

It will be your responsibility to oversee the maintenance of the van, conducting regular vehicle safety checks, ensuring it is kept clean and tidy, and replenishing all consumables at the end of the day.

You will be responsible for managing your own workload each day in accordance with relevant company instructions.

Occasionally you may be required to fulfil other duties relevant to the role.

Must hold a valid full UK driving license with no more than 6 points and no disqualifications within the last 3 years. Experience driving a Luton van or similar is desirable.

Previous experience in the delivery and installation of a variety of different domestic appliances from a variety of brands (Hotpoint, Bosch, Hoover, Zanussi, etc) is essential. Experience installing integrated appliances would be greatly beneficial but is not essential.

Outstanding communication and customer service skills.

Excellent time management and organisation skills.

Reliable and proficient in working unsupervised, using their own initiative when applicable.

Be tidy, courteous and take pride in their work.

Qualifications such as City and Guilds 224, 16th/17thEdition, Part:P, etc are desirable but are by no means essential.

Gas qualifications such as CCN1 and CKR1 would greatly benefit your application but are not necessary providing you are happy to undergo future training if requested.,

Experience:

• delivery driving: 3 years (preferred)


• installation of white goods: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

• CCN1 Domestic Gas Safety (preferred)


• UK Driving Licence (required)
