Full Job Description

Guy Carpenter IT Product Support seek a talented Full-Stack Production Support Lead with solid background in supporting Single-Page Applications, Microservices, and Document-style databases. Ideally who can also work out of our London office.

You will have responsibility for overseeing the maintenance and support of our MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) stack applications.

Leading a team of production support engineers, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of our applications.

  • Very high buy-in and visibility by senior business management., Lead and mentor a team of production support engineers in maintaining and supporting our MERN stack applications in a production environment.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of our applications.

  • Monitor and analyze application performance metrics to identify and resolve any performance issues.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, including investigating root causes and implementing appropriate solutions.

  • Develop and implement best practices for incident management, problem management, and change management processes.

  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.

  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in MERN stack development and production support.

  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and provide accurate estimates for project timelines.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of production support processes.

    Experience working and supporting enterprise cloud solutions.

  • Proven leadership, people management & mentoring skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.


  • What makes you stand out:
  • Experience in Full-Stack development.

  • Experience in supporting MERN or MEAN applications.

  • Experience with React or any JavaScript framework, Node, MongoDB or NoSQL database.

  • Experience in supporting microservices architecture.

  • Experience in supporting APIs using API management.

  • Experience in supporting data & application integration using Azure Integration Services or modern middleware solutions.

  • Experience in DevOps, CI/CD.

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes & Azure.
