Through effective communication with elderly and vulnerable adults, you will demonstrate a positive and professional manner which will be enhances with patience, respect, dignity, and empathy, both oral and written.

You will learn how to conduct pre-testing and to dispense products to customers, this includes Single Vision, Bi-focal and Varifocals

With training you will gain the confidence to carry out minor repairs and adjustments whilst on site.

Through training you will learn how to complete the NHS GOS by eGOS or forms and have a sound understanding of the voucher values.

Able to provide adequate business insurance cover for your vehicle and be a safe and confident driver.

Do you want to help patients to be able to do simple things, like watch their favourite TV programme or read the newspaper?, You must be a confident driver and have a full and clean driving licence and be a real people person.

We are seeking a highly motivated, friendly and reliable Domiciliary Optical Assistant to help support our customers and clinical team.

On a daily basis you will be delivering glasses to patients, so you must be able to work on your own initiative and be confident when dealing with customers. Once you are trained you will be able to fit prescription glasses, make minor adjustments and assist with customer concerns. Our patients are pretty special so we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic with a kind demeanour.

If you have a genuine kindness towards others, have great listening skills a natural flair for striking up a rapport with others then we can provide you will all the training, induction, and on-going support you need to retrain and become a Domiciliary Optical Assistant. You need to be able to drive as you also get out and about in the community with this role across the North West London Region. Your safety is important to us, you need to be double vaccinated due to the demographic of our patients and we will also apply on your behalf for an enhanced DBS check too, leave it all to us.

Area: Covering North West London - ideally located North or North West London
Status Permanent role : Mon to Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm (flexibility required)
Salary : £27,000 DOE plus £3,600 car allowance and parking and business mileage paid
