Front of House Staff / Server- Part Time

Our bistro serves a wide range of food and drinks. Customer's visit us regular for a delicious home-made meal. Our food menu includes pies, quiche, sandwiches, and cakes. We pride ourselves in both the quality of our food and the service we give to customers.

Our warm welcoming atmosphere with consistently good food and service keeps our customers returning. Our bistro is full table service, and we make sure that we take care of all of our customer's needs in a professional manner.

We have just gone through a major renovation to update our bistro to a new level. Our new facilities include a top of the range kitchen, fully integrated epos system and a new refreshed look.

Based in Tanfield Village, Stanley, we are tucked away and a car is essential to get to us.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet and assist customers in a friendly and efficient manner.

2. Take and prepare customer orders, including beverages and light snacks.

3. Maintain a clean and organized cafe environment, including tables and service areas.

4. Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately.

5. Explain menu items, specials, and promotions to customers.

6. Ensure timely and efficient service, balancing speed with attention to customer satisfaction.

7. Collaborate with kitchen and barista staff to fulfill customer orders.

8. Keep track of inventory levels for cafe supplies and notify management when restocking is needed.

9. Uphold health and safety standards, including food handling and sanitation.

10. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.

1. Previous experience in customer service or the food and beverage industry is a plus.

2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

4. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.

5. Attention to detail in order accuracy and presentation.

6. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

7. Knowledge of coffee and menu items is advantageous.

8. Willingness to learn and adapt to cafe policies and procedures.
