Full Job Description

This role is a 10 week internship based in London, with the requirements of the successful candidate to work from the office at least 2-3 days a week. The role is a full-time role, 5 days per week Mon - Fri., We are seeking a highly motivated and technical minded analyst intern to join our department. This paid internship opportunity will allow you to gain hands-on experience in analysing transactional data, contributing to our capabilities to identify patterns and anomalies to recognize instances of fraud. You will take end to end ownership of a specific project that focusses on supporting the enhancement of transactional monitoring. The project will give you the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our business processes in financial crime.

Key Deliverable

You will lead a project to enhance our financial crime prevention capabilities by developing a comprehensive set of operational rules, workflows, and procedures. This project will involve:

  • Rule Development: Creating a set of operational rules in collaboration with the fraud strategy lead.


  • Workflow and SOPs: Partnering with operations to design and implement efficient workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs).


  • Scorecard Preparation: Developing a scorecard to facilitate a risk-based approach in evaluating and managing cases.


  • Stakeholder Engagement: Presenting progress and findings to stakeholders, incorporating their feedback.


  • Documentation and Handover: Preparing detailed documentation and ensuring a smooth transition of the project deliverables to the relevant teams.

    Recently completed or currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Business


  • Interested in data analysis and experience with manipulating and analysing data.


  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.


  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbally, with calm methodical approach to work


  • Self-motivated and eager to learn and apply new skills.


  • Understanding of programming languages is a plus (SQL, R, Python, MATLAB, Java, C# etc.)

  • Working SQL knowledge through university based or external projects
